Why do I love fishing so much?

Well its grandpa’s fault, because over 35 years ago he started taking me fishing. I thought it was because he needed me to get the net, but later realized he was teaching me at the same time. After awhile he was getting the net for me and it was at that time that I learned that teaching someone how to fish is as rewarding as fishing itself. At first I thought it was just as important in keeping them in the sport I love so much. Catching fish is fun but watching people catch fish and learn how to repeat it is better. I hope that after spending the day with me you leave with something to help you become better at this sport. So if you’re a tournament angler who wants to refine your skills in, map reading, electronics, GPS, seasonal movements, color selection, tackle selection, and the many variables in fishing or you are someone who wants to learn from the beginning, knot tying, lure selection, where to start fishing, how to chose the right tackle for your needs, and the basic knowledge you will need to go out with confidence, and catch the fish of your dreams.

About Me

I have fished in FLW events since 2001 (1 win, 6 top 10's, 7 top 20's), Anglers Choice team trails, draw tournaments, BASS opens, BASS federation, and have been a member of North Alabama Tournament Anglers and fished in the club format. 2009 finishes on Lake Guntersville: Gambler Lures - 3rd Place, Snag-Proof Open - 6th Place, BFL - 3rd Place, BFL Super Tournament - Top 25. I have fished in that time from Lake Champlain to Okeechobee and have learned to catch fish anywhere and anytime of the year. Also in that time, I learned the tournament side of fishing. At this time in my life I would like to stay close to home and family and do what I love, be on the water, either fishing or getting the net for someone else. I have been self-employed most of my life and I currently own(and my wife operates) SAM THE BUGMAN TERMITE AND PEST CONTROL. Becky(my wife) is the one who keeps all this in working order for me. She and Drew(my son) are my two favorite clients of all. Drew is determined to catch more fish and bigger fish than me! Those two have helped me learn an important thing: it's not as important what you accomplish in your life as much as it is to help someone else accomplish their dreams and goals.
